While you must prove your seasonal residency each year, the state does its best to provide ample advance notice so your approval doesn’t lapse. For those of us who do not want to pay for a year and receive less than a year of coverage, fear not: you can begin your renewal when you receive the 45-day notice, and it will not take effect until the expiration date.

An affidavit may be used for only one document, and our clinic can provide this affidavit upon request. The address listed on the document and the affidavit must exactly match the address shown on the second document submitted with the application.

THEY WILL NOT WORK!
We have had a few potential patients get even more creative than these UNACCEPTABLE documents. A personal favorite of the clinic was a personal written letter to oneself, addressed to oneself in Florida. It did not meet the criteria. We’ve also seen magazine covers with their names and addresses, stationery pads with their addresses printed on them, Netflix receipts, and even the names of the hotels they are staying at. We highly recommend that if you want your Florida medical marijuana card, do not waste your time and money, and use anything other than the categorically listed acceptable documents above.

The state of Florida has two separate categories for your cannabis products, and they each come with a strict limit for the amount you can purchase and the window of time for that limit to roll over. Let’s break it down.
The two categories of medical marijuana in Florida are smokable flower and medical products. “Smokable flower” refers to the harvested but unprocessed bud of the cannabis plant that can be inhaled through a vaporizer, a bong, a joint, and various other methods. Dispensaries sell smokable flower in several increments, an ⅛ (3.5-gram) or pre-rolled joints being the most common. Everything that converts the smokable flower into another form of intake is considered medical, and measured in mg. The need for distinguishing the two categories is to establish the independent limits and difference in rolling limit time periods.
The state of Florida offers a rolling limit for your cannabis purchases.
