Releaf Medical Marijuana Clinic
Do you need a Florida medical card renewal or marijuana doctor re-evaluation for updated recommendations? Releaf Medical marijuana clinic can assist patients with both. The Florida medical card renewal process and marijuana doctor re-evaluations are both simple and very similar to the new patient process. Releaf Medical marijuana clinic is here to help patients with the Florida medical card renewal or the marijuana doctor re-evaluation process with our simple three step process that is displayed below in the How To Get A Marijuana Doctor Re-Evaluation section of this page.
The Florida medical marijuana treatment program has two important expiration dates for patients to remember. Patients need to identify if they require a Florida medical card renewal or a marijuana doctor re-evaluation. The first expiration date is the actual Florida medical card itself. A medical card renewal relates to the identification card issued by the state of Florida. This is the annual $75.00 state of Florida application fee. A Florida medical card expiration date is displayed on the physical card itself and can also be viewed on a patient’s Medical Marijuana Use Registry profile. If a patient is not sure about the status of their Florida medical card please visit our Card Status webpage. If a patient needs a Florida medical card renewal please visit our OMMU Registry webpage and view the details under section two, Florida Medical Card Online Renewal. The state of Florida will issue a reminder to patients to renew their medical card 45 days prior to expiration. Releaf Medical marijuana clinic advises our patients to make this annual payment to the state of Florida at least 30 days prior to expiration to prevent any lapse in treatment coverage.
The second expiration date is for active marijuana doctor recommendations. The state of Florida requires existing medical marijuana treatment patients to be evaluated every 210 days, 7 months, by their marijuana doctor to meet and discuss the patients personalized treatment program. The maximum amount of time any marijuana doctor in the state of Florida can recommend the use of medical marijuana is 7 months. The staff at Releaf Medical will remind our patients about re-evaluation appointments via phone call, email, and text. Releaf Medical provides re-evaluation appointments for patients that did not initially come to our marijuana clinic. Re-evaluations include the state required follow up appointment, all recommendations and delivery routes for 7 months, and increases for recommendations if necessary. If patients have an active Florida medical card after receiving their re-evaluation they can go directly to any Florida dispensary and start purchasing products again. The only time a medical marijuana treatment patient will have to wait the 5-10 business day application processing timeframe is if their actual medical marijuana card expires.
Medical marijuana treatment patients in the state of Florida are required to keep an active Florida medical card and active marijuana doctor recommendations if they would like to be able to purchase products from marijuana dispensaries. Florida marijuana dispensaries provide patients with discounts after they renew their medical cards or recommendations. Please view our dispensary pages for more details on these discounts and when they are available. Releaf Medical understands these requirements can be confusing. If patients require assistance or have additional questions they are able to reach our staff six days a week at 561-778-5323 or via email at [email protected]. Releaf Medical marijuana clinic is ALWAYS willing to help our patients!
How To Get A Marijuana Doctor Re-Evaluation
1. Re-Evaluation
The first step is a re-evaluation appointment with a marijuana doctor who is qualified by the state of Florida to order recommendations for the use of medical marijuana. Just like a patient’s previous evaluation the re-evaluation will require an in person exam at the Releaf Medical marijuana clinic. When arriving at Releaf Medical marijuana clinic patients will have filled out the standard state required medical marijuana use forms, which are HIPPA compliant, that have previously been sent to the patient via email. The patient can also fill out these forms at the time of their appointment. These HIPPA compliant forms will be made part of a patient’s medical records. Returning patients of Releaf Medical will have their original medical marijuana recommendations and documents on file. New patients of Releaf Medical will have these forms become part of their medical record with our marijuana clinic. The office staff will review these forms to make sure they are filled out correctly. After these forms have been reviewed patients will have a complete and comprehensive re-evaluation examination with a marijuana doctor. During this examination the marijuana doctor will discuss a patient’s personalized treatment plan and history to determine if the patient still qualifies for continued medical marijuana treatment in the state of Florida. The process is risk free, if our marijuana doctor is not able to provide patients with the recommendation for the use of medical marijuana then there is no fee!

2. Recommendations & Registration
Second, after the state certified marijuana doctor determines that a patient’s debilitating or chronic medical condition meets the Florida Department of Health requirements for medical marijuana use the doctor will then provide a new recommendation for medical marijuana treatment. This recommendation process is similar to writing a prescription, but the word prescription falls under federal guidelines and medical marijuana is only legal on a state level. A medical marijuana recommendation is a statement from a marijuana doctor that expresses that in their professional view medical marijuana treatment would be beneficial to a patient’s specific chronic or debilitating medical condition. The patient’s previous treatment plan will be reviewed and possibly adjusted at this time to best serve the requirements of the specific patient. After patients have completed their re-evaluation appointment and discussed their marijuana treatment program the marijuana doctor will register the patients new recommendations with the Medical Marijuana Use Registry. Recommendations provided by Releaf Medical marijuana clinic are typically for 7 months and include all marijuana delivery routes. These recommendations allow medical marijuana patients to purchase products at any licensed dispensary in the state of Florida. Releaf Medical will contact patients in regards to scheduling future re-evaluation appointments to prevent any lapse in treatment.

3. Visit A Florida Dispensary
The third and final step is an easy one, visit any Florida dispensary and purchase products! Now that patients have been re-evaluated by a marijuana doctor they are able to visit any of the many Florida dispensaries. Medical marijuana treatment patients are able to place orders at dispensaries by physically going into the medical marijuana treatment center, also known as a dispensary, or by placing the order online. Patients can either pick up the order at the local dispensary or schedule a delivery, most dispensaries do offer delivery. At Releaf Medical we recommend that all patients go slow and take advantage of the patient discounts that are available when patients renew their Florida medical card or get re-evaluated by their marijuana doctor! Patient discounts will be explained at the time of a patient’s appointment and can also be viewed on the dispensary overview pages of our website. Remember, everyone is different, so experiment and find the best dosage amounts and delivery methods that work for you as a patient and your specific condition. The staff at Releaf Medical is available six days a week for our patients, so please do not hesitate to call or stop into our medical marijuana clinic if you have any questions or would like to review your medical marijuana treatment plan.
